Nathan Jones Genealogy

Nathan³ Jones (Hugh² Hugh¹) of Dracut. He was born April 13, 1721. Was taken to Dracut, 1731. Lived there forty years. Removed to that part of Amherst, New Hampshire, which later was Mt. Vernon, where he died September, 1799. He married October 8, 1743, Eliza, born June 24, 1724, died before 1799, daughter of Josiah and Sarah Coburn of Dracut.

CHILDREN

1. Elizabeth, born February 10, 1743-4. Married June 11, 1763, Matthew, son of Rev. Thomas and Lydia (Richardson) Parker of Dracut. They lived in Litchfield, New Hampshire, and had several children.
2. Thomas, born March 20, 1745-6, died young.
3. Nathan, born February 25, 1743, died November 6. 1813. He married first, Esther Butterfield, and married second, Mary
4. Rachel, born Sept. 25, 1730, died 1756. Married January 2, 1772, Samuel, born September 15, 1749, son of Benjamin and Mary (Butler) Durant of Billerica. They settled in Nottingham, West, New Hampshire. They had four children.
5. Peter, born February 17, 1733. died March 1, 1753.
6. Timothy, born July 27, 1755, died 1793. He married June 13, 1752, Elizabeth Kendrick of Hollis. New Hampshire.
7. Phineas, born February 16, 1758, died in 1799. He married, June 15, 1784. Sarah Hildreth of Amherst.
8. Mary, born April 21, 1760. Married Levi Kimball. Settled in Landgrove, Vermont.
9. Peter, born September 16, 1762, died October 11, 1842. He married, June 5, 1757. Elizabeth Woodbury of Amherst, New Hampshire.
10. Dorothy, born March 21, 1765.
