David Fraim Genealogy

David Fraim came from Ireland and settled in Chester Co., Penn. His wife was Catherine Miller Fraim. Children of David and Catherine Fraim were:

1. Jane, born on December 1, 1759. She married William Wiley. They lived near Beaver, Penn.

2. Benjamin, born December 10, 1761;

3. James, born March 18, 1764; died, July 8, 1833;

4. Rachel, born December16, 1766 (or September 8) Mrs. Colston;

5. Thomas, born December 8, 1768;

6. David, born March 22, 1771;

7. Jesse, born February 4, 1774; died October 7, 1826 in Flushing, Long Island;

8. William, born June 29, 1776;

9. Sarah, born May 4, 1779;

10. Hannah.

David Fraim came to America, about the time of Wm. Penn. The Fraims were Quakers, and were of Scottish descent, moving from Scotland to Ireland. The last name was spelled Fraim, or Frame, or Froam. (See Watson's Annals of Philadelphia for history of Fraim family.) David Fraim died about 1780. Jesse and William Fraim, sons of David and Catherine Fraim, were reared by their Aunt Ruth Anna Fraim Lindly, who was the sister of David Fraim, and the second wife of David Lindly, a Quaker.
