Colonel William Bayard (1729-1804), son of Stephanus Bayard and Alida Vetch, married Elizabeth Cornell and had:

•  Susan Bayard, married Benjamin Woolsey Rodgers.

•  William Bayard, married Catharine Hammond.

•  Maria Bayard, married Duncan P. Campbell.

•  Justine Bayard, married Joseph Blackwell.

•  Robert Bayard, married Elizabeth McEvers.

•  Harriet Elizabeth Bayard, married General Stephen.

Van Rensselaer¹, eldest son of Stephen Van Rensselaer, the last Patroon, and Margaret Schuyler.

Notes:

1. General Stephen Van Rensseiaer, the Patroon, married second, Cornelia Paterson, daughter of Governor William Paterson, of New Jersey. She was the niece of Col. and Mrs. Bayard. The Patroon's eldest son, William, married Harriet Elizabeth, daughter of William Bayard, of New York City.
   Sarah Rodgers, born October 29, 1809, daughter of Benjamin Woolsey Rodgers and Susan, daughter of Col. William Bayard and Elizabeth Cornell, married April 4, 1839, William Paterson Van Rensselaer.
