(4) LYDIA MARGARET PAINTER, the fourth child of
Absalom and Sarah Painter, was
married, in 1847, to James W. Heath, a farmer and minister who lived in Delaware
County, Ind. Mr. Heath died in 1875, and Mrs. Heath moved in 1882 to Iowa and
afterward to Pipestone, Minn., where she at present resides. To this union were
born five children.
(1) Sarah D. Heath. Born, 1848; died, 1851.
(2) Charles C. Heath. Born, 1849; died in 1884. Married, in
1867, to Melissa Modlin. They lived in Brooklyn, Ia. To them were born three
sons and three daughters.
(1) Jennie Heath. Born, 1869; died, 1902. Married, in 1890, to
Lewis Coon, a butcher of Des Moines, Ia. They have one daughter.
(1) Iowa Coon. Born, 1893.
(2) Etta Heath. Born, 1871. Married, in 1893, to Ed. Leonard,
general merchant of Glendive, Mont. They have one son and two daughters.
(1) Jay Cecil Leonard. Born, 1893.
(2) Marjorie Leonard. Born, 1895.
(3) Grace Leonard. Born in 1902.
(3) Arthur C. Heath. Born, 1872. Married, in 1899, to Blanche
Shimer. They reside in Montezuma, Ia., where Mr. Heath is engaged in the
banking business. They have one daughter.
(1) Wilma Heath. Born, 1902.
(4) Eunice Heath. Born, 1876. Married, in 1898, to Wilson
Smith, banker of Brooklyn, Ia. They have one daughter.
(1) Luella Smith. Born, 1900.
(5) Carl C. Heath. Born, 1879. Married, in 1901, to Fanny
Hankey. They live in Beltrami, Minn., where he is engaged in the banking
business. They have one son.
(1) Carl Julian Heath. Born, 1902.
(6) James W. Heath. Born, 1880.
(3) Sylvester W. Heath. Born, 1852. Married, in 1877, to Anna
Veal, who died in 1884. To this union were born one son and one daughter.
(1) Daisy A. Heath. Born, 1878. Married, in 1897, to Benjamin
P. Robinson, a shoedealer. "They live at present in Des Moines, Ia. They have
two children.
(1) Grace Robinson. Born, 1900.
(2) Annie Laurie Robinson. Born, 1905.
(2) Heber K. Heath. Born, 1880; died, 1880.
Sylvester W. Heath was again married in 1887, to Minnie Skinner.
He studied osteopathy, and lives at present in Sioux Falls, S. D., practicing
his profession. To S. W. and Minnie S. Heath have been born one son and one
daughter.

(2) Bessie L. Heath. Born, 1900; died, 1900.
(4) Alfred M. Heath. Born, 1853; died, 1890. Married, in 1878,
to Maria Kiger, daughter of William and Sarah Kiger, of Delaware County, Ind. He
was a farmer and spent his life in and in the vicinity of Muncie, Ind. To this
union were born three sons and four daughters.
(1) Vernard Heath. Born, 1879.
(2) Maud Heath. Born, 1880.
(3) Ward Heath. Born, 1882.
(4) Ora Belle Heath. Born, 1883. Married, in 1903, to Mr.
Corkwell.
(5) Heber K. Heath. Born, 1886.
(6) Lena L. Heath. Born, 1888.
(7) Alpha O. Heath. Born, 1891.
(5) Emma A. Heath. Born, 1856; died, 1899. Married, in 1874. to
Henry M. Peed, a farmer and banner of Pipestone, Minn. She died in 1899, and is
buried in Brooklyn, Ia. To this union were born one son and six daughters.
(1) Ulysses M. Reed. Born, 1875. Married, in 1898, to Bernice
Whitcomb. He studied law and is at present engaged in the practice of his
profession in Brooklyn, Ia. They have one son.

(2) Grace Reed. Born, 1877.
(3) Mabel Reed. Born, 1880; died in 1888.
(4) Carrie Reed. Born, 1882; died, 1888.
(5) Lulu Reed. Born, 1883. Married, in 1903, to Ralph G. Hart,
editor of the Daily Star at Pipestone, Minn.
(6) Ethel Reed. Born, 1883.
(7) Ada Reed. Dorn, 1889.
