(8) LYDIA MARGARET PAINTER, the eighth child of Alexander and Mary Painter, was married, in the fall of 1846, to Joseph McDonald. They moved years ago to Brooklyn, Ia., where Mrs. McDonald died about the year 1865. To them were born five children.

(1) Mary Jane McDonald. Born Dec. 27, 1847. Married, Aug. 25, 1870, to Allen S. Kizer, of Brooklyn, Ia. They have three sons.

(1) William J. Kizer. Born Aug. 3, 1871. Married, Aug. 30, 1893, to Anna Margaretta Van Doren. They have one daughter, born March 7, 1902.

(2) Joseph A. Kizer. Born Dec. 15, 1872.

(3) Nicholas F. Kizer. Born March 20, 1876.

(2) Sarah Catherine McDonald. Born in 1849. married to William T. McGhee. They live at McFall, Gentry Co., Mo. To them have been born seven sons and three daughters.

(1) John F. McGhee. Born in 1866.  Married and lives in South Dakota. He has seven children. His exact address and the names and ages of his children could not be obtained.

(2) Samantha R. McGhee. Born in 1868. Married, June 17, 1886, to Willis S. Horning, whose occupation is that of farmer. They also live in South Dakota. They have four children.

(1) Jesse V. Horning. Born Nov. 7, 1887.
(2) Frank W. Horning. Born Aug. 29, 1889.
(3) Nila A. Horning. Born Nov. 9, 1893.
(4) Ella C. Horning. Born Jan. 12, 1897.

(3) Joseph M. McGhee. Born in 1870. Married, March 20, 1892, to Adella Ensley, daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth Ann Ensley. They have three children.

(1) Harry Edward McGhee. Born Jan. 1, 1896.
(2) Howard Luscius McGhee. Born Apr. 17, 1899.
(3) Celia Katherine McGhee. Born Jan. 30, 1902.

(4) George E. McGhee. Born in 1871; died July 18, 1898.

(5) Nelson W. McGhee. Born in 1874. Married, and lives in South Dakota, but no information concerning him or his family could be obtained.

(6) Charles C. McGhee. Born in 1878. Married, Aug. 29, 1898, to Louisa Miller, daughter of Jas. M. and Delphia Miller. They live near Madison, Kan., R. F. D. No. 4. They have three children.

(2) Minnie O. McGhee. Born July 12, 1901.
(3) James C. McGhee. Born Oct. 12, 1903.

(7) Isaac C. McGhee. Born in 1882.

(3) Martha Ann McDonald. Born May 19, 1850. Married, Oct. 12, 1870, to N. A. Anderson. They live in Brooklyn, Ia. They have one son.

(1) Alfred A. Anderson. Born June 5, 1873. Married, Nov. 2, 1898, to Agnes V. Jamieson. They live in Brooklyn, Ia.

(4) Nancy Ellen McDonald. Born in 1852; died Oct. 23, 1892. married, Oct. 12, 1870, to Dr. John Stewart Ormiston, of Hartwick, Ia. To them were born four children.

(1) Edward Ernest Ormiston. Born Apr. 27, 1873.  Married Mary Ostrom, daughter of G. L. and M. O. Ostrom, in 1895, and lives at Hartwick, Mo. He has two children.

(1) Gladys Elmyra Ormiston. Born March 23, 1896.
(2) Ruth Ellen Ormiston. Born June 14, 1898.

(2) Minnie Margaret Ormiston. Born June 6, 1876.

(3) Charles Carrol Ormiston. Born Aug. 11, 1878.

(4) Jennie Ormiston. Born Dec. 3, 1883.

(5) Amanda A. McDonald. Born Oct. 26, 1859. Married Oct. 27, 1881, to William F. Jones, of Brooklyn, Ia. To them have been born four children.
