(7) DAVID THOMPSON PAINTER, seventh child of Absalom and Sarah Painter, was born in Rockingham County, Va. He came with his parents to this State when but one and one-half years old. He was married, Apr. 1, 1858, to Gillia Ann Shoemaker, daughter of Jacob and Amanda Shoemaker. They lived for years on the Absalom Painter farm, which is vet called the David T. Painter place. To them were born three children.

(1) Florence Elnora Painter. Born March 22, 1859. Married, Sept. 16, 1879, to William W. Prigg. They live in New Castle, Ind. To them have been born three children.

(1) Lowell C. Prigg. Born July 17, 1880.
(2) Grace G. Prigg. Born March 29, 1882.
(3) Kirby K. Prigg. Born June 27, 1884.

(2) John P. Morton Painter. Born Sept. 27, 1864; died Apr. 21, 1896. Married, Nov. 30, 1893, to Ada Lefter, daughter of Benjamin and Addie Lefter, of Daleville. Ind. He died Apr. 21, 1896. To them was born one son.

(1) Julius C. Painter. Born Dec. 10, 1894.

(3) Otto Warden Painter. Born March 10, 1872. Married, Sept. 6. 1900, to Laura McKee, daughter of John and Winnie McKee. They live in Middletown, Ind.
