Dr. Lemuel Kollock Genealogy

Dr. Lemuel Kollock, who went to Georgia, was born in Wrentham. Mass., October 21, 1766. After studying medicine, he settled in Savannah, Ga., and commenced the practice of his profession. He married Maria Campbell, daughter of Macartan Campbell, a patriot of the Revolution, who married Sarah Fenwick, daughter of Edward Fenwick, of South Carolina, and Mary Drayton. He was one of the incorporators of the Georgia Medical Society, founded in 1804, and its secretary. Dr. Lemuel Kollock and Maria Campbell had the following children:

•  Phineas Miller Kollock, M. D., married first, Jane P. Johnston; second, Sarah Hull Campbell. Dr. P. M. Kollock married, first, Jane P. Johnston, daughter of Col. James Johnston and Anne Houstoun, and had:

  • Louisa Caroline Kollock.

  • Maria Kollock.

  • James Johnston Kollock.

  • Jane Johnston Kollock.

  • Edward Campbell Kollock.

  Dr. P. M. Kollock, a well known physician of Savannah and professor in the Savannah Medical College, married second, Sarah Hull, his cousin, daughter of Edward F. Campbell and Sarah Hull, and had:

  • Macartan Campbell Kollock, married Louisa Belle Kollock.

  • Marion Fenwick Kollock, died.

  • Josiah Tattnall Kollock, married Ida Rotureau, and had:

    • Sarah Campbell Kollock.

    • Josiah Tattnall Kollock.

  • Sarah Campbell Kollock, married Charles William, son of Rev. Charles B. King and Anna Wylly Habersham, and had Sarah Hull King, married Gordon Harrison, of Virginia, and had issue.

•  Mary Fenwick Kollock, married Rev. Edward Neufville, his second wife (Rev. Edward Neufville married first, Mary, daughter of Hon. Wm, Bellinger Bulloch), and had:

  •  Frank Neufville.

  •  Edward F. Neufville, married Miss Tattnall, daughter of Commodore Josiah Tatnall, and had Mary Neufville, married William James Bulloch Adams, and had:

    • Edward Neufville Adams.

    • Richard B. Adams.

•  George J. Kollock, married first, Augusta P. Johnston, and had Augusta Johnston Kollock. Married second, Susan Marion, youngest daughter of Col. James Johnston and Anne Houstoun, and had issue:

  • George Jones Kollock.

  • John Fenwick Kollock.

  • William Waring Kollock.

  • Susan Marion Kollock.

  • Mary Fenwick Kollock.

  • Annie Houstoun Kollock.

  • Louisa Belle Kollock, married he cousin, Macartan C. Kollock, and had:

    • Susan Marion Kollock.
