Hugh1). was born in
Dracut, May 6, 1762. On April 3, 1793, his father deeded him half of his
homestead and after his father's death he purchased of his sisters, on October
30, 1801, all their interest in the other half and he occupied the ancestral
estate until his death, October 4, 1816. He enlisted on June 26, 1780, in the
Continental army and served until December 29, 1780. In his will, dated August
26, probated November 19, 1816, He mentions wife, Dolly; daughters Dolly, wife
of Israel Hildreth, Jr., and Lydia, wife of Pascall Coburn; sons James, Hugh,
William and Henry; grand-children, Augustus and Zerviah Lucretia Fox; and son
Oliver, Jr., to whom was bequeathed the homestead.
He married. May 19, 1785, Dolly, born August 16, 1762, died October 7, 1843,
daughter of Daniel and Eunice Clements of Dracut, who married second, February
10, 1822, Samuel Richardson of Methuen.
CHILDREN
1. Sarah, born January 1, 1786. Married August 30, 1810,
Jonathan Fox of Dracut. They both died before 1816 leaving two children.
2. Oliver, born November 12, 1789, inherited and occupied his father's
homestead in Dracut, where he died February 6, 1836. He married first, October
30, 1814, his cousin Olive, born in 1790, died September 18, 1829, daughter of
Thaddeus and Olive (Jones) Coburn of Dracut. Married second, April 24, 1833,
Mary B. Clement of Haverhill.

3, Dolly, born February 8, 1792, died February 28, 1858.
Married December 16, 1813, Dr. Israel, born February 28, 1791, died April 6,
1859, son of Israel and Susanna (Hale) Hildreth of Dracut. They lived in
Dracut and had eight children.
4. James, born February 16, 1794.
5. Lydia, born September 24, 1796, died April 8, 1846. Married July 8, 1813,
Pascall Paoli, born March 18, 1792, died December 3, 1841, son of Capt. Peter
and Elizabeth Coburn of Dracut. They lived in Dracut and had eight children.
6. Daniel (twin), born May 15, 1802.
7. Hugh (twin), born May 13, 1802. He was a blacksmith and lived in Pelham and
Londonderry, New Hampshire where he died November 11, 1881. Married September
4, 1821, Mehitable, born October 23, 1800, died March 20, 1839, daughter of
William and Elizabeth (Tenney) Wyman of Pelham.

9. Henry, born April 5. 1809, died October 11, 1829, unmarried and intestate.

Richardson.
