7. William Edgar Grimes, son of Wilson Grimes b. December 8, 1829, in Wayne County, Tennessee, m. April 20, 1852, Mary Elizabeth Keaton, b. May 19, 1834, sister of Nancy Melissa (Keaton) Grimes (6). They lived on Eagle Creek where he d. September 23, 1856.

Children:

22. Evelyn, b. January 24, 1853; d. June 28, 1930 - never married.

23. William, Jr. ("Bud"), b. August 5, 1856; d. February 13, 1913 - never married.

After the death of her first husband, Mary Elizabeth m. (2) a Dicus and had two daughters, Mrs. Henry Shipman and Mrs. George Pitts. She d. January 28, 1888.
